50 People Who Look Exactly Like Cartoon Characters
These people look like cartoons just by being themselves.
Harriet King October 6th 2019 Entertainment
You might have heard it said that everybody on planet Earth has a doppelgänger somewhere. Your clone might live in the same town as you, or they might live on the other side of the planet. Either way, they're out there somewhere with your face. It's a little bit disconcerting.
Some people are able to use this to their advantage. If you look like a very famous celebrity, for example, you can make a whole career out of impersonating them. There are certainly worse ways to earn your money, although your job will only last as long as their fame.
Looking like a cartoon, though, is something that far fewer people would be happy with. Nevertheless, it happens. We have a whole fifty people in this article who are dead ringers for animated characters. In some cases, we think they may even have been the inspiration for their cartoon copies!
Carl From 'Up'
There are thousands of little girls out there who dream of looking like a Disney princess. They even cosplay as the characters, and go on expensive vacations to Disneyland dressed exactly like the princesses they idolize.
It's far less likely that this man intentionally walks around looking just like Carl from 'Up,' but he's one of the best cartoon lookalikes we've ever seen. It's just a shame that the film is so sad; people probably burst into tears when they see him.
Being famous doesn't protect you from looking like a cartoon. Just ask pop star Joe Jonas. He's got his own look and style, and he's been very successful with it. Every time we see him, though, we can't help ourselves from singing 'A Whole New World.'
Jonas is a carbon copy of Aladdin. He's got the same eyes, and the same cheekbones. He could make the resemblance less obvious by changing his hairstyle. As he doesn't, we're guessing he likes it!
Russell From Up
We're only three entries into this list, and we've already got two characters from the same movie! This time it's Russell from 'Up,' and it's intentional. This young man has embraced the role, right down to the costume.
We don't know if he's ever met up with the man who looks like Carl, but if that hasn't happened, someone needs to facilitate it immediately. Disney could make a live action version of the film. They're big on live-action remakes at the moment.
You won't find many men who deliberately try to resemble Butt-Head from 'Beavis and Butt-Head.' We suspect it's even less likely that you'll find women or girls who want to look like the character, but here's an exception.
Whether or not she naturally looks like Butt-Head, the expression she's making with her face tells us that she's doing it on purpose. We suppose if someone compares you to a famous character, you might as well embrace it. Good on her.
Flash from 'Zootopia'
They say that all pet owners end up looking a little bit like their pets after a while. We haven't heard anyone say that you start looking like an animated character if you watch the film they're in too often, but we might have to start saying it now.
We suspect that this lookalike is just down to a case of bad timing in terms of when the picture was taken. The fact remains, though, that she really does look like Flash from 'Zootopia.'
Princess Merida from 'Brave'
If you're going to look like an animated character, there are far worse options out there than 'Brave' character Princess Merida. She's strong, she's fierce, and as the name of the movie suggests, she's brave.
Anybody with flaming red hair stands a chance of looking like Princess Merida, but the effect here is enhanced by the fact she wears her hair in curls. Factor in the eyes and the nose, and you've got a perfect match. Even the clothes are pretty similar!
Linguini from 'Ratatouille'
'Ratatouille' is one of our all-time favorite movies. Whoever knew that a movie about rats invading a kitchen and messing around with all the food could be so cute? Also, who knew a character as cartoonish as Linguini could have a real-life counterpart?
This boy looks like he's stretching his face as much as possible to make the resemblance work, but it's definitely there. How far does the resemblance go? Does he have a pet rat as well?
This lookalike is a little stealthy. The man in the foreground isn't the real subject of the picture; he's just trying to look nonchalant while his friend sneaks a picture of the woman sat behind him.
It's very hard to dress like the mysterious Carmen Sandiego by accident. The character has an iconic look, defined by the unusual choice of a red hat and a red jacket. This woman has it down perfectly. Where in the world was she?
Granny from 'Looney Tunes'
Our younger readers might have to ask their parents about this one! If you're of a certain age, you probably grew up watching the adventures of Sylvester the Cat and Tweety Pie on 'Looney Tunes.' The animals had an owner - the sweet-natured Emma Webster, also known as Granny.
Granny was such a stylized character that it was hard to imagine how she might look in real life, but now we know. Maybe there's a lot of cat and bird food in those bags.
Milhouse from 'The Simpsons'
If you're going to look like a character from 'The Simpsons,' you want it to be Bart or Lisa. You might be able to carry that off, and still look cool. Nobody wants to be Homer, and even fewer people want to be ultra-nerd Milhouse.
At least looking like Milhouse didn't stunt this young man's career. It's Josh Saviano, who's better known to millions of people as Paul Joshua Pfeiffer from his time in 'The Wonder Years.' Maybe Milhouse was based on him.
Mr. Burns from 'The Simpsons.'
Excellent. We don't think it's possible for anybody to look any more like an animated character than this man looks like the ultimate evil capitalist from 'The Simpsons,' Mr. Burns. It's not just the hair - the shape of his head is identical.
Mr. Burns is a fictional character, and he's an exaggeration of how super-rich businessmen behave in real life. Despite that, we'd still start running if this guy ever threatened to release the hounds.
Hiro Hamada from 'Baymax'
Replicating the look of 'Baymax' star Hiro Hamada isn't too difficult. You can find the clothes in most department stores, and you can even buy a plush star to help you out. This kid is on the next level, though.
The hairstyle isn't just close to Hamada's, it's completely identical. He's been able to perfectly replicate the smile as well. Is 'Baymax' real? Is this actually Hiro Hamada? We're confused; this is like looking straight down the uncanny valley!
Gru from 'Despicable Me'
It's unlikely that there's anyone out there who wants to look like the character of Gru from 'Despicable Me.' Unfortunately, though, male pattern baldness happens. Medical science hasn't yet advanced to the point where it can be prevented.
Just going bald won't leave you looking like Gru. People will only be a resemblance if you pick a wide, striped scarf, and wrap it around your neck just underneath your jawline. Either this guy is a big fan, or he's never seen the film, and he's completely oblivious.
The Riddler from 'Batman'
There have been multiple incarnations of iconic 'Batman' villain the Riddler, but the one we concern ourselves with here comes from the much-loved animated series. In the cartoon, the trickster character has a wide grin, fair hair, and a chiseled jawline. Remind you of anyone?
That's right, it's Neil Patrick Harris. All the actor needs here is an eye-mask and a hat, and it would be impossible to tell one from the other. If anyone wants to make a 'Batman' musical, here's your man!
Cartman from 'South Park'
Everybody has their own heroes. Some people will choose athletes. Other people will pick movie stars. For the select few, their ideal role model will be a crude, foul-mouthed character from an adult cartoon show.
There's no way this kid doesn't know he looks like Eric Cartman from 'South Park.' He wouldn't pair a red jacket with that yellow and blue hat otherwise. He isn't hurting anyone, so we say let him carry on with it. At least he isn't dressed like Kenny, so his life isn't in danger.
Moe from 'The Simpsons'
Do you think we'll feature every character from 'The Simpsons' before this list is over? Keep reading, and you'll find out! It's one of the most successful cartoon shows of all time, and it features a list of memorable characters. Moe, the Nihilistic barman, is up there with the best.
We don't know what it is about this guy that makes us think of Moe. Maybe it's the hair. Maybe it's the mouth. Whatever it is, we have a sudden urge to ask him for a Duff beer.
Apparently, this guy didn't realize that the character of Johnny Bravo was basically created to mock people exactly like him. Instead, he saw the character and decided that was exactly what he wanted to be when he grew up.
To his credit, he's done a good job of it. He's powerfully built, and he's topped off the look with the same sunglasses, and the same hairstyle. He even skips leg day like his hero, too. That's total commitment!
Mr. Potato Head
We know this isn't the most original comparison in the world. In fact, someone mentions it on almost every single episode of 'Family Feud.' There's a reason it gets referenced so frequently, though. Steve Harvey really does look exactly like Mr. Potato Head.
We're lucky that Harvey has such an excellent sense of humor. If he didn't, he'd probably have become really annoyed with the constant jokes by now. Instead, he laughs them off and fires back with a joke of his own. That's how to deal with it!
Mrs. Potato Head
It would be rude to have a Mr. Potato Head on this list and not also offer a candidate for Mrs. Potato Head. Fortunately, one has come forward, and it's Nicki Minaj.
We should emphasize the fact that we don't think Minaj looks like Mrs. Potato Head most of the time. She's far too glamorous for that. On this one occasion, though, with these make-up choices, it's a close match. This probably isn't a look she'll go for again!
Dora from 'Dora The Explorer'
OK, this one is just adorable. We accept that this little lady probably doesn't look like Dora from 'Dora the Explorer' most of the time, but she's gone to a special effort to get the look right in this picture, and she should be recognized for it!
She's obviously a big fan of the cartoon character. She's had her hair styled just like her, and she's gone to the trouble of finding the perfect backpack to complete the impersonation. She gets full marks from us.
Elsa from 'Frozen'
Some girls out there go to incredible lengths to look more like Elsa from 'Frozen.' Because of the success of the movie she stars in, she's become the most iconic Disney princess of the past few decades.
Very few of the girls who attempt to copy her get the resemblance as close as the one in this picture - and she's not even trying all that hard! Her hair isn't blonde, but the face is a perfect match. The arched eyebrow and the little smirk seal the deal.
Mister Spaceley from 'The Jetsons'
Like comparing Steve Harvey to Mr. Potato Head, this comparison isn't particularly new or original. People have been pointing it out for such a long time that sometimes, we think Danny DeVito plays up his resemblance to Mister Spaceley from 'The Jetsons' on purpose.
DeVito is a unique looking actor, but the combination of his height and his hairstyle make the resemblance unavoidable. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't routinely fashion his facial hair after Mister Spaceley, so we can only assume he's a 'Jetsons' fan.
Consuela from 'Family Guy'
Let's be real for a moment. If your cleaner was anything like Consuela from 'Family Guy,' you would fire her immediately. She's incapable of performing the most basic tasks, she steals money, and she doesn't leave when you ask her to. She's just bad at her job.
We're sure this happy-looking lady doesn't share any of Consuela's undesirable traits, but she does share her appearance. We asked her if she wanted to be left off the list, but she said 'no, no. I stay.'
Leela from 'Futurama'
What's actually going on here? Is this girl exceptionally good at contorting her face, or has she had a bad experience with lip filler? Either way, she's reminding us of the super-cool Leela from 'Futurama.'
Looking like Leela should be quite difficult under normal circumstances. Having purple hair should be a requirement, and the fact that the character only has one eye should make things harder. We don't know how she's done it, but there's no denying that she has.
Peter Griffin from 'Family Guy'
For years, if you were a man (and especially if you were a father), the one person in the world you never wanted to be compared to was Homer Simpson. Then, 'Family Guy' came along, and Peter Griffin managed to be even worse.
Being compared to Homer would probably be a blessing for this guy, considering he looks so much like the 'Family Guy' patriarch. All we can do is hope that he doesn't have any green trousers in his wardrobe. If he does, he should ditch them immediately.
Beavis from 'Beavis and Butt-Head'
When we found a lookalike for Butt-Head from this show, it was a girl who was pulling a funny face. This man doesn't have that excuse. Not only that, but it looks like he was already having a very bad day before the internet laughed at him.
Nobody gets a police mugshot by being on their best behavior, so we have to assume that he's done something wrong. If he's anything like the character he looks so much like, it probably involved alcohol and misconduct.
Mother Gothel from 'Tangled'
We suspect this lady might be famous. This looks like a celebrity photo, but unfortunately, we can't place her. While we don't know her true identity, we're absolutely positive about her fictional one.
With her dark hair and her slightly intimidating gaze, we think she's a perfect match for Mother Gothel from 'Tangled.' So much so that we're going to recommend that someone goes to her house and finds out if she's got Rapunzel locked up in there somewhere.
Scar from 'The Lion King'
Given that the animated version of 'The Lion King' happened years ago, we're going to go out on a limb here and say we think we know where the producers of 'Game of Thrones' got their inspiration from Khal Drogo.
Let's face it. He's burly. He's an alpha male. He's the undisputed leader of his pack, and you wouldn't want to face him in a physical fight. Khal Drogo is one hundred percent the living embodiment of Scar. Drogo's got him beaten in the looks department, though.
Hercule from 'Dragon Ball Z'
This photo is a little bit blurry, and we think we know why. Whoever took it realized that they were never again going to see anybody who looked quite so much like Hercule from 'Dragon Ball Z,' and they had to act quickly to capture the moment.
If they hadn't taken this hurried photo, none of their friends would have believed they'd encountered a living being who looked so much like Hercule. We're still not sure we believe it, and we're looking at the proof!
Andy from 'Toy Story'
We nearly disqualified this guy on the grounds that he's trying too hard, and he's using props. After some reflection, though, we've decided to allow him in. Even if it is a little bit forced, he's done a good job of it.
We'll always have a special place in our hearts for Andy from 'Toy Story,' and for the series of films as a whole. Hang on a moment, though. He's got the toys the wrong way around! Is it too late to disqualify him?
Merryweather from 'Sleeping Beauty'
We almost feel a little bit sorry for this woman. She's taken the 'extra' approach to her headgear, and she probably thinks all the glances she's attracting from passers-by are because she has such a fabulous hat.
As we all know, though, the reason everybody's looking at her is because she looks like Merryweather of 'Sleeping Beauty' fame. That's one of the most iconic hat and scarf combinations in the history of cartoons, and we'd recognize it anywhere.
Linda Belcher from 'Bob's Burgers'
This is a very difficult picture to look at. We all know and love Linda Belcher from 'Bob's Burgers.' She's one of the most happy-go-lucky people in the world, and on top of that, she makes great burgers. What's not to like?
This woman doesn't look like she has anything in common with Belcher's adorable personality whatsoever. In fact, she looks positively furious. Surely the resemblance has to be on purpose, though? There's no way she could be unaware of it! Maybe nobody's brave enough to tell her.
Sideshow Bob from 'The Simpsons'
We didn't think it was possible, but we've finally found a hairstyle for men that's even worse than the dreaded 'man bun.' Here it is in all of its glory. We don't know if it even has a name, so we're going to go ahead and call it the 'Sideshow Bob.'
At least the subject of the picture has accepted the role. He's even gone and found himself a knife to pose with, and he's giving us his best evil smile. We hope he didn't step on a rake later.
Cynthia from 'Rugrats'
Miley Cyrus changes her look and her style so frequently that we find it difficult to keep up. Whatever she's wearing one week will be gone by the next, and that includes her clothes as well as her hair.
In the precise moment this picture was taken, though, Cyrus had a definite look of Cynthia from the classic children's cartoon 'Rugrats' about her. Did she do it deliberately? Who knows? Cyrus does what she wants, and always looks great doing it!
Scruffy from 'Futurama'
This is yet another perfectly-timed photograph! Any janitor can look a little bit like Scruffy from 'Futurama' - all you need is some overalls and a world-weary look. Having the same facial hair certainly helps, but it isn't the be-all and end-all.
What makes this the perfect Scruffy lookalike picture is the pose. Look at the way he's leaning on that stick. Maybe Matt Groening saw this picture and was inspired to draw the character? Maybe Matt Groening even took the picture!
Comic Book Guy from 'The Simpsons'
We've all met someone like Comic Book Guy from 'The Simpsons,' and we've met even more of them since the internet was invented. They're the people who hate everything popular, always think they know more than you on any given topic, and get really picky about the TV shows they claim to love.
We're not sure whether this guy has ever watched a TV show and declared it to be the 'worst episode' ever, but he's got that Comic Book Guy style rocking perfectly. All he's missing is the shorts.
Crazy Cat Lady from 'The Simpsons'
Part of the reasons that 'The Simpsons' has been as popular as it is, and has survived for as many years as it has, is that it's been able to make caricatures of many people we've encountered in our lives. Almost all of us have come across an older woman who's a little too keen on cats.
The woman in this picture is taking things to the extreme, though. Cats are capable of walking themselves. They don't need to be taken to the shops with you!
Boo from 'Monsters Inc'
We're back in the realms of cuteness again now! Boo from 'Monsters Inc' was a character that was so obviously designed to be cute that we almost didn't want to like her. It was obvious the producers wanted us to say 'aww' every time we saw her. They won, because we did.
Picking a similar outfit to Boo and doing her hair the same way was an easy way to get the character's look right. The plush toys are a nice addition, too. How is she doing that with her eyes, though?
Bobby Hill from 'King of the Hill'
Someone's been a little unkind by taking this picture. It is a good match, though, and so we don't feel too bad about including it on our list. Facially, this kid is a dead ringer for Bobby Hill from 'King of the Hill.'
Our problem with this one is that we suspect that the boy in question has never seen 'King of the Hill.' He might not even have heard of it. He must wonder why people sometimes laugh when he walks past them. One day he'll figure it out.
Shrek is an enormous creature. He's incredibly strong, and he's tall even by the standards of ogres. It's a good job that he has such a big heart and a friendly personality, because if he didn't, we suspect he'd be a tyrant. It's not like anyone could stop him.
Ogres may or may not exist in real life. If they do, they probably look a little bit like Maurice Tillet. The brutish-looking man was a professional wrestler by the name of 'The French Angel' in the 1930s.
Mario & Luigi from 'Super Mario Bros'
Strictly speaking, Mario and Luigi aren't cartoon characters. They're video game characters. They have appeared in cartoons, though, and so we'll include them. If we didn't, we wouldn't be able to show you this great picture.
Although everything about the picture screams 'staged,' we believe that it's authentic. These are just two guys working on a job somewhere, and they didn't walk out of the house intending to look like the most famous fictional plumbers of all time. What are the chances of that?
Sid from 'Ice Age'
Before you complain, we never promised that every entry on this list would involve humans! If you want to find a lookalike for an animal, the first place you should look is another animal. This is the picture that proves our point.
Our favorite thing about this is that it's a cross-species lookalike. Sid is a ground sloth. This very good boy is a dog. He's had a little bit of help to pull it off, too - but it still works very well!
Cruella De Vil from '101 Dalmatians'
'101 Dalmatians' was such a successful movie that every cruel woman who's been perceived to be cruel since the film came out has been compared to the title character Cruella De Vil. Some have deserved it, and some haven't. We're undecided on this one.
She certainly looks like the character. She looks just as angry, too. However, it might be the case that she's angry because a complete stranger is pointing a camera at her without permission. That would annoy us, too.
Patty and Selma from 'The Simpsons'
This is a less-than-flattering comparison, so if the ladies involved in it ever see this, we're really sorry. If we're honest, though, you haven't helped yourselves. Patty and Selma aren't characters that human beings should really ever resemble, so how have they managed it?
It's simple, really. Wear matching outfits, go for cigarette breaks at the same time, and look generally tired of the world and everybody in it. We bet they love MacGyver. Give up the habit, ladies!
Terk from 'Tarzan'
To an extent, all very young babies look the same. They haven't had a chance to grow into their faces yet, and so they all have the same basic look.
That should mean that any of them are capable of looking at least a little like Terk from 'Tarzan,' but our prize for the best attempt goes to this guy. We don't know if he's just come out of the bath or shower, but that's the most outstanding hairstyle we've ever seen on a baby.
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Um, referee? We think you should probably stop this fight. Everyone goes into a boxing match expecting to get a few bumps and bruises, but not to this extent. He's been punched so hard he's been transformed into the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
We know this looks bad, but we can assure you that, miraculously, the boxer didn't suffer any permanent injuries. The swelling made it look worse than it really was! He did lose the fight, though.
Ned Flanders from 'The Simpsons'
It's always the ones you suspect the least. Ned Flanders is the perfect neighbor. He's kind, he's considerate, and he'd do anything to help you in a time of need. He wouldn't secretly be manufacturing drugs and killing people - would he?
We only ask because he looks so much like Bryan Cranston, and you know who Bryan Cranston is. Say it quietly, but he's Heisenberg. Ned, what do you really have in your basement? Are you the one who knocks?
Lion-O from 'Thundercats'
You might remember Carrot Top as a comedian from the 1990s, when he was apparently very funny. His hilarity didn't translate well into the 21st century, and he doesn't enjoy the same profile he once did.
We can see what he's been doing while we weren't looking, though - slowly turning into Lion-O, the leader of the Thundercats! Same hair, same ripped body, same face. Does he have a movie role coming up? If not, perhaps that should be his big comeback.
Chris Griffin from 'Family Guy'
Almost everybody in 'Family Guy' is a parody of someone from real life, even if the parody isn't necessarily obvious. We know that, because Seth McFarlane has said so in multiple interviews. With that in mind, is Chris Griffin based on Bruce Vallanche?
If he isn't, it's quite a remarkable coincidence. They have the same build and the same hairstyle, and it's not as if it's a particularly common hairstyle. McFarlane is probably a Vallanche fan, so we think it's likely.
Roger Klotz from Doug
Macklemore is an artist who splits the crowd. His fans love him, and love the fact that he seems to be absolutely everywhere in the world of entertainment. His detractors can't stand him, and don't understand why they see him everywhere they look.
If you're not an admirer of Macklemore's talents, you might enjoy this. Look at him closely. He's the spitting image of Roger Klotz from 'Doug.' Not so cool now, is he? Make sure you point it out to your Macklemore-loving friends!
